ASOS Colour Block Nylon Backpack SGD$82.66, Nasty Gal Leopard Backpack USD$88.00, ASOS Limited Edition Patchwork Backpack SGD$91.84, ASOS Canvas Backpack With Contrast Panelling SGD$34.44, Marc By Marc Jacob Packables Backpack USD$88.00, Alexander Wang Scuba Backpack USD$980

My affair dates back to when I was 9. My first love was a delicious hot pink nylon backpack with buckle straps and really cute lace up details across the middle section. I fell in love with it and luckily for me, my mum bought it for me. I had the time of my life stuffing things in that backpack and got many compliments for it. Eventually it tore and I needed a new bag. Then it became a tradition for me to get a new backpack every year for school. I remember my sister bringing me everywhere to search for a new backpack each year. They could never replace that pink backpack but they were all unique in they own way. At 13, I had this cool corduroy backpack with pink sides and at 15 I was going everywhere with a vintage Camel backpack. I found my colour block lacoste backpack at 17 and in the same year I bought this really pretty blue printed backpack from Urbanoutfitters. They were all different but they made me very happy. Clutches and handbags just aren't the same! My backpacks kept my hands free and my back decorated, they took the burdens for my shoulders and at the same time kept them contained before they eventually gave way. So you can see why Im that excited to see them making a comeback for Spring Summer 2012! <3

My brother kindly snapped these for me the other day. Unfortunately cloudy skies and poorly lit corridors weren't the best conditions for a picture but I had to show you guys this outfit!

The dress I'm wearing is actually a sweater vest I got recently. When the buttons are positioned at the front, they make the perfect cover- up for a casual outfit, and when inspiration (and cash) runs dry, they can easily become a dress! Worn backwards here, they became the perfect 'basic' dress with a fantastic back. It helps that my slip had a halter back that totally added oomph to the look. I'll be sure to post an image of how this vest could be worn over a casual look. :)

Fashion Steps Out 2012

Had the previledge of checking out the promotional concept stores at Fashion Steps Out 2012 last friday before it was opened up to public. Topshop had a print shop that allows you to choose among limied prints and have them printed on tote bags. You can then stamp your name on it. All for $15 and for that, you get a $20 Topshop voucher! How awesome is that? Got one for myself and then stamped something at the back. I can't wait to show you guys but good things are worth waiting for right!

So anyway, the best part of FSO was being with Anza and Maggie! Felt totally at ease with them and we even managed to talk to Serena from Spicystiletto, together with the others from the F3 editorial team.

The most interesting part of the day was probably wearing the dress to the event and then opening up the magazine (that they gave out) to find my dress featured in it. Haha. The dress was really comfy by the way. <3

"But I ask you, who runs at work?" - Christian Louboutin

The prettiest but most uncomfortable pair of heels I own currently. Wore it for my internship and boy did it hurt! Unfortunately, I also agree with Christianand thought the quote was apt for this post. This pair of shoes were actually perfect for my internship, where Im not required to stand for long hours. Also, I think I would break into them soon.

Pain aside, I have to say I love this pair of shoes! Got them at an ASOS sale a while ago and the contrasting white platform coupled with the trendy arch is just perfect for $14. I can't wait to wear them out soon to break them in!

Ive been complaining about having no extra time on my hand these few weeks and many of you might have been really puzzled by it.

Well, I can finally reveal it!

I've been invited to be a guest blogger for a new website Sugabeans. It's basically like a online magazine where you can read up on fashion, lifestyle, beauty and etc. I've only posted one article currently, but more would definitely follow. You can read my article here.
Of course, I can't be that busy with one article. Remember I've been talking about some internship? I've also been writing at F3's official website as the editor's assistant. The website is pretty interesting and I really recommend you guys to check it out. You can read it here.

Meanwhile, I'm tired as heck and should really get some rest while you guys go have a look at the two sites that Ive mentioned okay?

A look unlike the rest, with more amounts of feminine than masculine. The top is my mom's and well, you're seen the skirt and shoes a million times. They are THAT versatile. The head tilt and cross leg seem to appear in every post! Haha, I should really get around to changing that.

I haven't been bringing my camera to the events Ive been to these days because I've swop cameras with my sister and bringing a dslr to school then work then events seem like a bad idea. Unfortunately, that equates to a lack of blog post too. :/

Well, I have news too! Im really excited to share it with you guys, but you'll have to check back soon!

Marni X H&M collection preview

The Marni X H&M collection hits the stores tomorrow but the queue has already started. No idea how many of you are in the line now and how many are heading down tomorrow. For those in line, perhaps this could entertain you for a short while!

I got to visit the showroom last week and saw the clothes for myself. I have to say, I really like the accessories! The collection seems to have a resort touch to it and there was an eclectic mix of style in the clothing. Materials used range from silk to pleather and I must say it is really interesting. I really like the printed t-shirt (2nd photo) but.. my favorite has to be the vest from the men's collection!

Have a look  at the collection!

How cute is this!

The pair of sandals that everyone has their eyes on! ($119)

I really like this pair of heels but I don't wanna queue up :(

The vest! Sorry for the awkwardly framed image, wasn't using the right lens the other day. The vest didn't catch my eye in the look book but looks so good in real life! have yet to see a guy in cropped jacket before but I wouldn't be surprised to see guys pull it off. I think I could too :/  Ah ha.

Oh wells, what do you guys think?
