I just realised I didn't share this video from CatalogTV with you guys! You can tell from the hair that it's from wayyyy back. But anyway, here's to all of you who wonder how I sound like. Honestly though, I didn't realise I had such a Singaporean accent.

Goodnight!

Some shots from the 2 days that I went to MFW 2012. Unfortunately, more than half of the photos taken that night rendered blur or were badly framed, I couldn't give a full report of MFW 2012. Plus, Im a little late. However, if you would like to catch up on the fun from MFW 2012, you can head over to F3.com.sg!

I'll have to say MFW was inspiring to say the least. Having seen the way designers could challenge themselves to piece very unlikely materials together or reinventing a details, I couldn't possibly let myself get away with taking things easy in school. The fact that it's menswear brought the whole experience to the next level, since I've never bothered to let myself explore beyond womenswear. My only regret would be not being able to fully immerse in the whole experience because I was too busy taking photographs. It wouldnt be as bad if they actually turned out well. AFF and Blueprint are coming up. I'd have to decide if I want to bring my camera then. Till then, it shall be tutorials and forum reading for me!

(Top: Warehouse Shorts: Topshop)

This outfit is so similar to one of the previous outfits I posted not long ago but school has ironically sucked the creativity out of me. I think the change in the setting of the pictures make a huge difference though. A friend helped me snapped these the other day and I have to say sometime we really just need a little new perspectives. Im having very interesting classes now and I forsee very exciting news to tell you guys!

What I wore for MFW. I couldnt work my camera in low light so the pictures turned out horrid. Do bear with me :(The outfit was what I could work out on a morning where I woke up late and had to be at work in the next hour. The best I could work out actually.

I'll be poting on MFW soon, do bear with me. School has started and I find myself struggling. 3 and a half more weeks, I'll stay sane.

A really old picture I found lying around my computer. If I remember correctly, we ended up snapping it at the bus interchange because we were rushing between places that day and had no choice. Maggie snapped it with her iphone and decided to blur a particularly loud advert.

Thefashionassassin has finally made the move over to PIXIEINSPACE! Why? Well, I really prefer having a more customizable background and wordpress has made some changes that made posting pictures a little more tricky. Furthermore, a new space will bring more change and honestly, that's what I really need! So I hope you guys will come to love this new space as much I love it! :)

Some pictures of people from my recent visit to Bangkok. Love the place, loved the people I met and while I hope to be back soon, resting at home these days feels absolutely fantastic.

The dork.

You've seen the shirt, you've seen the skirt. Needless to say, you've seen the shoes countless times too. You've never seen them together and neither have you seen them paired with these accessories. A hat from a swop, a pair of prescription lenses, a wrist wrapped up with a headband and my trusty ole backpack. What do you get? A dork who aunties frown upon.

There's so many elements from different looks and with each element thrown in, the look is transformed. Without the specs it might just be a sports- inspired outfit. Without the maxi, I might just be a boy. Without the specs I could be the nerd who tried too hard. There's so much going on, but with everything done haphazardly, there's more casual than anything else and I think it works. What do you think?

The bag lady.

Wore this outfit to Dorothy Perkins is 10 and I have to say handbags just never seem to fit me right. Im often bewildered when a handbag is handed to me, not knowing where how I should wear it. Should I throw it over the shoulder, balance it on the elbow or hold it the way I did in the photo? There was even a period of time where I contemplated hugging it right across my chest. The latter was comforting when all else felt really odd. Too bad I looked like a strange bag lady.

Well you can't blame me for taking the bag out despite all the inner warring. The colour was just too delicious to pass! The pretty pink, just perfect for spring and the way it softened the look even with it's structured shape. Of course, I would take the satchel version without hesitation if it ever arrives (at my doorstep hopefully.)

I still feel that juxtaposition of the feminine with the masculine in this outfit. Even with all that pink, the military style shirt and my hair definitely man(ned) up the look more than what a plain ole t would. And yes, I need a new statement necklace.

Tonight you can fall asleep laughing about how awkward I looked with a handbag. Goodnight!
