I've been told countless of times that comfort zones are the worst place to be at and yet I still fall victim to it's cuddly arms. School has been slightly breezier these day and while that means that I could (and should) be dedicating more time to the projects I have in mind, I have been watching Friends instead.
It frustrates me when I find myself so unproductive but how could one possibly peel herself away from Friends! The amazing 90s outfits are just so inspiring when I put together my outfits since most of my items are thrift-ed. In fact, I found myself in school dressed very much like Monica Geller recently.
That aside, I have been sewing a lot since the inception of Jolly Julia in my home studio. The industrial sewing machine has got me sewing all the time and that feels a lot better after indulging in too many episodes of Friends (and hot chocolate). In fact, the little pocket blouse featured in the top right picture is actually handmade! Making them just felt so good and so I was wondering, if I sold these handmade babies, would anyone be interested?

Design school schedule can be rather overwhelming.
3 hour classes doesn't sound like much to many but hey it's design; it never (and shouldn't) stays within class time. The need and desire to do better than you ever had gets under your skin.When you don't, it crushes you to smithereens but when you finally man-up and push forward, the results are so gratifying that it leaves you exhilarated and high for a while.
Much like what drugs do for some people I guess.
I think it's quite safe to say this the drug for me and as cheesy as this is, I'm fucking hooked.

It's definitely not easy to capture my smiley moments especially when I tend to break out in a series of awkward moves right after but the talented Gwen is absolutely fantastic at it.

To be honest, a trolley has been one of the top few things I've wanted in a photoshoot for a while. So when we chanced upon a parked trolley in a small alley that we were passing through, we literally jumped at the opportunity! What a day it was, meeting the girls of Eriin.com and the conversations I had at their Pop & Loft event today. Really got me thanking my stars at how I always meet all these wonderful and supportive people whenever the going gets tough (or just plain exhausting).

I've been sitting on my bum all month busting out vectors and posters for school and I've got all these ideas that I just need to execute! One of them includes updating this space a little more frequently and I've actually got a solid plan for it. Well, executing is gonna be a bitch but I'm gonna give it a go.
On another note, I kinda uploaded this look on poshism.com on the hopes that kind souls will vote for me to let me win new shoes (cause come on, i know all of you are bored to death with my shoes) since I can't afford a pair on my own. So do head over to poshism to vote for me, pretty please. :)
Anyway, that brings me to the next subject. I need a job. I've tried pursuing streetstyle at NylonSG but the current guy is just too damn good. (head over to flashfire.es) So.. that door kinda slam shut. :/ Nevertheless, the pictures should be posted on the Nylon FB page and website early December. No worries, I'll probably bug you guys about it again then. So.. back to that job. I've considered selling my soul to Iora once again but the thought of scalding myself whilst steaming clothes for 3 hours is just so sad that it brought me here ranting and begging for a job. Aye, don't I just have so much dignity? So anyway, I can take photos, write and do a little bit of graphic design, so why not hire me?

Last week, we spent a good hour doing nonsense jump shots while trying to make our way to the school canteen. It was childish and hilarious but we actually managed to get a decent shot of my outfit in midst the insanity. I need more of such things.

I lost myself for a moment frolicking in the fields but it wasn't long before reality slapped me in the face with the heat. I spent yesterday in the most comfortable outfit consisting of my favorite tank from thescarletroom and my favorite shorts from Topshop, doing the most nonsensical sliding activity which involvied an abandoned piece of wood and plank. I had fun.

Spent the past few days putting together the final touches to my first photoshoot as a creative director for a label that is about to launch. Whilst Im excited about it, I've been crazy worried about all the tiny details. The shoot was supposed to take place yesterday but a huge pour of rain thwarted our plans. Since new plans have been made, Im only left to hope that the skies holds back all it has to pour.

Here's what I wore to AFF. Funny how everything is from Topshop except for the accessories. (Earrings are from Topshop though.) The vest is actually a blouse and I wore it backwards! Spent about 10 hours in those heels and trust me, my feet didn't forgive me until quite a while later!
